aFederal Alliance, the alliance of 30 parties including constituents of the United Democratic Madhesi Front, has begun picketing Singha Durbar on Sunday.
The alliance had announced protest to exert pressure on the government to address the demands.
The disgruntled Madhesi parties had announced Kathmandu-centric protest demanding that the Constitution be rewritten.
The alliance on Saturday took out a rally in Kathmandu to protest against the ‘discriminatory provisions of the new Constitution’.
The alliance had announced protest programmes, two days after the government sent formal invite for the talks.
The government on Monday had written to the agitating parties, inviting them to the negotiating table.
The alliance, however, said that the protest programmes would continue until their demands were met.
