A Heathrow bound plane covered in blood and feathers successfully touched down on Friday after a bird strike destroyed the aircraft’s nose.The EgyptAir Boeing 737-800 carrying 71 passengers was approaching its destination when it collided with the flock of birds, the Sun reports.Senior procurement specialist at EgyptAir, Amir Harshim posted pictures of the extensive damage on social media.”SU-GDZ operating yesterday evening’s MS779 arrival suffered a bird strike on approach,” he wrote.”The damage caused is clearly evident and SU-GDZ will be grounded until a new radome is fitted.
