Lok Sewa Aayog

What is the name of the instrument through which the sun can be observed? – This is the kind of question one can expect in the preliminary exams for the position of Section Officer with the Government of Nepal. The exams of the Lok Sewa Aayog, called ‘Lo Se’ colloquially – not least because that is what the candidates end up becoming once they are selected – is an annual circus for those looking for a future in government service. The first hurdle to negotiate is the deceptively titled Administrative Aptitude Test (AAP) – the ‘Iron Gate’ equivalent for government job seekers which must be cleared before progressing any further in the recruitment process.
