Meanwhile, Health Minister Thapa said that the Bir Hospital should become a ‘hospital of the people’. Speaking at the Hospital today, Thapa said the hospital belongs to people of all sections of the society and atmosphere should be established for easily accessible quality service. “As Bir Hospital is a source of faith for all the Nepali citizens, the services it provides must be people-friendly,” he said. On the occasion, he directed the hospital authorities to come up with a 100 days’ action plan within a week. On the occasion, Vice-Chancellor of the National Academy of Medical Sciences, Dr Ganesh Gurung, apprised Minister Thapa of the status of Hospital. -
