Civil servants marking 13th Public Service Day

es. The day is a holiday for civil servants. ‘Service-friendly administration, good governance in federalism’ is the slogan for this year’s celebrations. On this day 60 years ago (Bhadra 22, 2066 BS), then prime minister Tanka Prasad Acharya introduced Public Service Act and this day marks that historic occasion. Public servants have been celebrating this occasion for the last 11 years formally. Currently, Nepal has around 83,000 civ9l servants. Coinciding with the day, the Ministry of General Administration is giving away best public service award to 10 employees and public service award to 30 employees.
