Public demonstrate to protest arrest of locals

Locals in Dhunche market in Rasuwa district have demonstrated in protest of the arrest of some locals in an incident taken place on July 30 in the VDC building of Dhunche. A clash had ensued between the VDC officials and locals when the locals insisted Village Council to be retained in Dhunche. Police had taken some locals under their control. The locals here today have burnt tyres in the main road and forced shut down of the market and transportation, according to police. They have also demanded the release of the locals, stating that they were innocent. The security has been beefed up in the area to avoid untoward activities.
