Government officials in Nepal and India said they are aware human-trafficking is common, especially after natural disasters, but were surprised victims are being sent as far away as Britain.“We have already instructed police to investigate this. This is very serious,”said Yadav Koirala, spokesman for Nepal’s Home Ministry.“We have no proof now. If any proof is found out during investigation, we will bring those involved it the crime to justice. There is no question of leaving them without punishment.” An official from India’s home ministry said the government was trying to tackle the “menace” of human-trafficking “with all seriousness”.“It is a known fact that children from poor families are trafficked from states such as Bihar and Uttar Pradesh bordering Nepal. The last devastating earthquake in Nepal has added to this problem,” said the official, who did not want to be named.He said cases of human-trafficking were possible in Punjab where drug trafficking is a problem, and that the same gangs could be involved in buying and selling children as well. -

But I know that I gave my 500% (to my marriage), and no one can point a finger at me. I don’t regret a single day of my life. But, s**t happens. I don’t feel bitter or hold any grudges. Here’s some good news for all Kapil Sharma fans. If reports are to be believed, Indian TV’s funniest showman, Kapil Sharma will be back on the small screen by mid 2016 with a brand new show. The show, to be aired on Sony, will be called Comedy Style, and have Dadi, Gutthi and Palak return as well.

Last weekend, Colors aired the first episode of Comedy Night Live with Krushna Abhishek in the lead. The show replaced Comedy Nights With Kapil but a lot of viewers are not very pleased with the new content and comedy, and are asking for Kapil to return on social media platforms. Sunil Grover, who played Gutthi and several other characters on the show, even shared a picture of himself on Twitter with caption “I want to wear make up soon. See you soon. Before monsoon.” Guess that should leave little to doubt that the gang is indeed coming back.

Comedy Nights With Kapil revolved around a talk show format where different celebrities (mostly Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone) are invited each week where Kapil took interviews of them. The show was also full of gags and skits where several actors took on new and also recurring characters. Dadi, played by Ali Asgar was an alcoholic grandma to Kapil, Gutthi and Palak, played by Sunil and Kiku Sharda, were two irritating girls from the neighborhood. They were joined by Bua, Kapil’s wife Manju, their servant, Manju’s father and a lot of fun characters.

A 112-year-old woman has credited her old age to chain smoking 30 cigarettes a day – for 95 years. Batuli Lamichhane was born in March 1903 – and took up smoking when she was 17. She claims it’s her daily habit that has helped her outlive almost everyone else in her village – and her own children. She said: ‘I dont really care how old I am. But I am old nonetheless. I have seen a lot of things change during my lifetime.’ But despite her age, Batuli continues to be a chain smoker. She smokes as many as 30 cigarettes a day. Batuli’s added advice on smoking is to avoid ‘commercially made’ cigarettes. Instead, she recommends locally made ‘beedis’ – tobacco wrapped in tendu leaf. Batuli’s husband deserted her eight decades ago after he migrated to India in search of a job. Her eldest son is 85-years-old and has great grand kids. The other four have passed away since. Following the devastating earthquake that hit Nepal earlier this year, the roof of her house caved in. Since then, Batuli has refused to be relocated to a relative’s. She lives off donations made by a local Hindu temple. The strong woman believes that there is a secret to living a long life. ‘People of this modern age have too much stress. And those who do not work or are idle in their old age won’t live long. So you have to be active and stress free,’ she professes. ‘You should always be happy, then you will live a long life.’
